The festival spans across 250 villages, with over 100 sacred groves (Kavu) in each village, hosting more than 30,000 performances during the season. With total expenses amounting to more than 15 million, Theyyam is indeed considered one of the largest festivals in the world, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of North Kerala.
